• Chat messages and account activity needed to operate platform features.

2. How We Use Information

• Authenticate users and protect account access.
• Display civic issues and related content inside the app.
• Support repost/reset visibility functionality.
• Detect spam, abuse, fraud, and policy violations.
• Comply with applicable legal requests and platform safety requirements.

3. Public Issue Visibility

Issues may be visible publicly on the map for a limited period. Reposting may reset visibility according to app rules.

4. Intermediary Status

CIVXO operates as a user-generated content platform. CIVXO does not create user posts and may act on valid takedown requests or lawful orders as required.

5. Content Moderation

We may remove content that violates law, contains defamation, incites violence, reveals private information, harasses people, includes explicit material, or otherwise creates safety risk.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared when required by applicable law, lawful authority, security investigation, or to operate essential platform services.

7. Data Retention

Some content and logs may be retained for moderation, compliance, investigation, backup, and security purposes even after public visibility ends.

Users may request deletion through the Account Deletion page.
